What I've come to understand is that he's looking for a way to make an ultra ultra long 45 Colt round using a 45 caliber bullet in 444 Marlin brass to reduce the jump. I don't think he wants to load 45 bullets in 444 brass like a shotgun slug.

I have used the Magtech .410 brass as opposed to trying to make brass. I use 444 Marlin dies to resize the brass. My info is in another place, but if I remember correctly I used the seater die to resize the top half of the .410 brass. I use 303 Enfield shell holders. The volume inside the brass cases is larger than a plastic .410 shell.
Converting .444 brass to .410 is ok if you have plenty of .444 brass.
